Car Park

Who knows where I found this one... I Stubmled or Dugg or Redditted it. It doesn't matter, as long as it has made its way safely here.

An award-winning design project for a car park in Melbourne, where you see what you need to see, when you need to see it:

Photoshop Disasters

Some of the disasters presented in Photoshop Disasters are not that disastrous, which brings the insanely anonymous to the site, armed with a CAPS LOCK and a FAIL comment. But there's a reason they come back again and again. There's just something addictive in searching for the failures of overpaid professional designers. So sometimes the disaster is not serious, but every once in a while gems like these comes along:

No One Belongs Here More Than You

A year after she started writing on top of her fridge (and then moved to the stove) to promote her book, No One Belongs Here Mora Than You, Miranda July came back with more stove-writing, this time to promote the fact that her book had come out in two new colors, and also because the internet had been waiting.

The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster

FSM

The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, while having existed in secrecy for hundreds of years, only recently came into the mainstream when this letter was published in May 2005.

With millions, if not thousands, of devout worshippers, the Church of the FSM is widely considered a legitimate religion, even by its opponents - mostly fundamentalist Christians, who have accepted that our God has larger balls than theirs.

Some claim that the church is purely a thought experiment, satire, illustrating that Intelligent Design is not science, but rather a pseudoscience manufactured by Christians to push Creationism into public schools. These people are mistaken. The Church of FSM is real, totally legit, and backed by hard science. Anything that comes across as humor or satire is purely coincidental.

This is from the About page of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Some may be offended by this religion, while others may laugh at it or with it as it seeks to expand the spectrum of creation theories taught in Kansas. Just consider that no one has ever died for this religion, even though it has existed for thousands of years, from the early days of mankind, perhaps from the first time a man looked at the vast open sea and said, "A pirate's life's for me."

Big Blue Marble

One of my childhood favorites. A childish, naive show that pushed the idea of a global community. Or maybe we still have hope? Maybe it's only childish and naive because we're blind to our potential? The internet could have accomplished the Utopian ideal, and maybe one day it will.

Gary Busy + Machete

It starts with a garden hose, then moves to a machete. Busy then shows his arrows collection.

And just when you think it can't get any worse, he starts playing guitar.
