"We have a problem. We've convinced almost everyone that alternative energy is a great thing, but there's one group we haven't reached yet: The Real America. Imagine a mix between Bonanza and Meth.
"So anyway, I've come up with a great idea: A new ad featuring a Real American. It will have a lot of things those people like. Yes, it will have God. And the flag. These people love the flag. And a diner. He will even leave a tip. He'll have working gloves sticking from his back pocket--like, he's so hardcore Real American, that it doesn't bother him to eat lunch with gloves in his back pocket. And it'll have the word bellyaching! That's okay, I don't know what it means either, but I heard someone say that in a movie once. Maybe Kris Kristofferson?"

What a crock. "Green" energy is expensive and unreliable. Check out wind power:

Your "average Joe" won't be able to afford his cup of coffee if Cap and Trade passes and his company closes because of the huge tax burden (which won't be used for "green" projects.
These simple ads are very deceptive and wrong.
I know what you're saying, and unfortunately I don't know enough to argue against it. On the one hand, I have no doubt the people that own these giant alien spaceships are no better people than oil fat cats. And maybe you're right about the cost and reliability. On the other hand, it's encouraging to see the country slowly moving away from dependence on Mid East oil. But maybe that's again just my ignorance speaking.
Trying to get the masses in America, or anywhere, to change their wasteful ways is difficult.
The Tales of a Vagabond Simple Changes Tour is setting out across the country to show America how they can reduce their waste and convert to clean energy easily, and cheaply.
The Tales of a Vagabond Skoolie Bus runs electronics through Solar Power, Burns Waste Vegetable Oil for fuel, and integrates a Rain Water Collection system for H2O.
We all just need to make Simple Changes.

Vagabond, I don't have a problem with reducing waste and minimizing carbon foot prints. I just have a problem with the word Bellyachin'. And with the idea that to convince some people you have to talk to them about God with flags and silent g's at the end of sentences.
Yes! Why is "real America" always this stereotypical crap! I have seen lots of real Americans and not all of them talk or look like the guy in this ad. It getting old with that sh#%!
He has a new ad now. With less close ups! I don't even know what their air these things in Baltimore, which is very far from the real America. Don't they know we're already in the bag?
