Find of the Day

Before we moved into our new house in 2003, it has been completely renovated. Painted. Empty. Waiting for us.
But in one of the kitchen drawers, we found a whole bunch of passport-sized baby photos. We never asked why these photos were left behind or why they were the only things left behind, so we were never told, and we still don't know.
But the photos are still there. In fact, there were so many photos of this baby (all copies of the same photo), that each cabinet door and drawer in the kitchen reveal, when opened, a photo of this baby.
Why did we keep it? Why do people find other people's stuff and decide to keep it?
Found Magazine looks at people's finds, like this picture, "Found in a kitchen drawer of an abandoned house," and finds poetry in others' discarded items.

Blame Canada? Not so fast!

As you can see from this new surveillance photo released by Homeland Security and available through The White Rabbit Cult, Flight 1549 did not end up in the Hudson because of Canadian Geese. These geese were actually homegrown, patiently waiting for the right moment.

Bye
It's been a bit like a survival camp, where you spend a week in a tent in the jungle with a can of beans and a match, and after a week when you return to civilization, you realized you've learned a lot about yourself. You realize that after you've been through this thing, well, you can do anything.

10 designs for a new Google favicon
So here I am, offering my MS Paint services to the great G. For free!
I start with a minimalist design. Here's the letter g. Already an improvement!
Look! It's a capital G! Now we're getting somewhere!
Now, I see Google likes some colors. Mission accomplished!
Yes, we can!
Oh, that's now something I can look at!
Or even better:
But let's admit it, this new Google favicon is not something we can look at for too long.
And really, the final designs embody the FAIL status of the new Google favicon.

Google, you're welcome.

I'm going to live forever!
I know, I know. This is probably not the first place you've seen this video. Still, maybe it will be a first for someone. And if it is, well, then my work has not been in vain.

What I remember from my honeymoon
On our honeymoon, we stayed at a hotel in the Bahamas. Don't remember the name... It had a shark attack a week earlier, so we stayed in the pool most of the time, that's all I remember.
Actually, there was another thing. It's crazy that the first thing I noticed was the sink in the bathroom. It was beautiful. Stainless steel. Deep. Ahh, what a beautiful sink.
And when we took a taxi around the island, the driver asked us what hotel we were staying in, and when we told him, he said, "They have beautiful sinks in the bathrooms"!
Which is all just an introduction to another beautiful article from Web Urbanist--this one about bathrooms. Here are some of the pictures. Click any picture to see the original article with more pictures.
